Who are NM's green movers and shakers?

Since September '08, I've been researching local movers and shakers in New Mexico's green niche. I'm curious to hear from Santa Fe Green Line community, who you think represents the key players locally (businesses, local government officials, advocates, etc.)?

Jen: In my experience, local green mover/shakers include Santa Fe's own Ed Mazria; Karen Cook; Dale Dekker of Dekker, Perich Sabatini and Scott McCurdy, who sits on the national board of REP America as well as chairing it's NM Executive Committee. Got to also give ABQ Mayor Chavez credit for 3% bond set-aside for conservation and distributed power; Water Sustainability strides that got a global award 3 years ago in London; his (amici) participation in MA vs EPA in the US Supreme Court establishing CO2 as a 'pollutant,' his groundbreaking call for a 'pardon' of H2 (taking on some myths about safety before an audience of techies who got it, but who lacked a concise way to frame it); His (and Council's) cutting edge green building standards; his hybrid-elecetric and CNG bus fleet; and more. Of course it could be argued Chavez jumped the gun on Ethanol (at least from a CO2 perspective); but all told he's been out front in good ways (bagging ABQ "Greenest City in America" honors at a national Mayors' conference a couple years ago as well).

Great feedback Barry!

In my continued search, I've also found these people noteworthy: * Brendan Miller, Green Economy Manager, Economic Development Department * Susie Marbury, Energy Efficiency & Green Building Administrator at State of New Mexico * Chris Kerlin, Exec. Dir., NM Green Building Council * John Soladay, Director Environmental Health, City of Albuquerque

These contacts are great resources for Green Tech: * Tom Greenbaum, Intel, NM Data Center Manager * Nick Babic, Affordable Solar, Project Developer
