No traceability for salmonella? Food distributors trump homeland security!

One of the worst outbreaks of foodborne illness in the U.S. is teaching the food industry the truth of the adage, “Be careful what you wish for because you might get it.”

The industry pressured the Bush administration years ago to limit the paperwork companies would have to keep to help U.S. health investigators quickly trace produce that sickens consumers.… Continue

You got it, Eric. One of the topics we deal with frequently at DU and my own site is the incompetence of newspaper traditionalists who try to confront changing times and tech - by getting rid of the talent that brings customers to their front door.

Although I'm pleased that Mike Odza is working on an exciting new project - with folks who understand what online communications can achieve - I see no reason for me to spend time supporting anything the NEW MEXICAN is about.

Henry and a few other folks work hard at sound goals and deserve what support they can acquire; but - I ain't going to be part of it.

There is no end to sites, movements, kind and dedicated political folks that I can support.
