Calling Gardening Volunteers!

Hi Greenliners - this is for all of you with a green thumb! Spring has sprung, and the Railyard Park is starting to come to life. We are organizing volunteer opportunities and workdays, and would love to have your participation. There are several ways you can get involved:

(1) Horticultural Team Leaders - Gardening Gurus, this is your chance to shine. Lead a small group of volunteers in specialized care of the Railyard Park gardens. Assist in mulching, harvesting, weeding, planting and training citizen volunteers! Volunteer Leaders need a high level of horticultural knowledge, and patience in helping others. Each volunteer will lead teams of 4 - 10 on workdays.

(2) Participate in a Horticultural Workday! - This is for folks of any gardening skill level. We are starting small - Right now we have days set up starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, Friday, April 17, and Friday, April 24. We'd love to have you there! Snacks will be provided. (3) Join our Garden Committee - This team will focus on the community demonstration garden at the Railyard Park, from mulching to community planting days. The garden will focus on edibles. Join in on the fun!
